Neighborhood Peace Vigil. (Everybody welcome). Rain or shine. We have candles and signs for you, but you are welcome to bring your own as well. One issue focus--end the war in Iraq--support our troops and the Iraqi people by ending the war now. (Relating the cost of the war to the Federal, State, and City budget deficits is still part of our single issue focus). Cookies will be served.

Our April vigil was again lightly attended, but spirited. Our dozen or so participants were encouraged by support from passing motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians. This was mostly a daylight vigil, as the sun didn't set until about 15 minutes before we ended, so we were very visible. As usual, we had music and cookies. We will continue to vigil until the war ends--we encourage everyone to remain active and not wait for the election to end the war.
